lyrics
Woke up this morning, thought it was a dream I can’t watch the news for the life of me Seems the seeds that we’re sowin’ are getting heavy to bare Less than a dream, more like a nightmare
And the voices they call and they promise, they swear They’re talkin’ so loud, but don’t get anywhere And I’m not one to claim, more than I know But we live here and die here, take heart ‘fore you go
From the high mountain, to the old western rivers I can hear us all singin’ our own lullaby Sinners and posers and holy-rollers, We all get along in the sweet by-and-by
I’m over the game of who’s better/who’s best It takes one to know one, and you know the rest What will all the little children say When they wake up to find, their dreams too far away?
I hope you wake everyday when you’re rooster crows Hope you rope ‘em and ride ‘em at your own rodeo Hope you dance to the tune of an ol’ banjo When you leave, hope your stone says you lived and let go
From the high mountain, to the old western rivers I can hear us all singin’ our own lullaby Sinners and posers and holy-rollers We all get along in the sweet by-and-by (2x)

Each year the same story: My wife (handmade pop music) and I (black metal maniac) go on holiday. We need some "soft" but honest music for long car drives. It is a tough week in advance to dive deeply into musical scrap to find some pearls like MARGO PRICE! She presents easy going country pop, smooth and with pleasant vocals, reminding me sometimes even at Stevie Nicks. The title track is one of my favourites, but also the other songs are catchy and performed with smooth energy, H.L.
