"It's the immediacy of her storytelling, utterly unsentimental yet deeply heartfelt, that makes Kelsey Waldon a queen of the cool rejoinder and an all-around contender." - NPR

lyrics
There must be someone I can turn to
Someone like me, lonely too
All my life I’ve been alone
Got no friends, got no home
There must be someone I can turn to
Well all my so called friends have turned they backs on me
There were looking for someone I just couldn’t be
Let them go and have their fun, unaware of the harm they’ve done
There must be someone I can turn to
(BREAK)
Now if all the tears that I’ve cried are still inside of me
Why can’t a woman be accepted for what she has to be
Must I live my whole life through
Not knowing what to do
There must be someone I can turn to
There must be someone I can turn to

Each year the same story: My wife (handmade pop music) and I (black metal maniac) go on holiday. We need some "soft" but honest music for long car drives. It is a tough week in advance to dive deeply into musical scrap to find some pearls like MARGO PRICE! She presents easy going country pop, smooth and with pleasant vocals, reminding me sometimes even at Stevie Nicks. The title track is one of my favourites, but also the other songs are catchy and performed with smooth energy, H.L.

I am not really an expert in today's country music. I know and appreciate Sheryl Crow or the Dixie Chicks, but that's it more or less. NIKKI LANE's rocking style with a decent rough edge fits quite well to this "strong women" references. Several songs are catchy and always welcome on my soft music playlists, check for example "First High", "Born Tough" or "Black Widow". H.L.
